Awareness

Sometimes we forget what we are doing? We forget what this situation is? I forget. I forget and stop seeing the true nature of this realm. I think and start believing my thoughts. I get into my wishes and fears and tumble into the ditch. Then I get back up and take another look. And brush the dirt off, clear my vision again and sigh alitte. Yes, I see. I see the law of impermanence. I see the suffering arising from grasping and pushing. I see the benefits of liberation. I see the preciousness of seeing. I see the actions of cause and effect. What are you aware of? What do you see?

I am aware of how the size of my world changes. Sometimes it's as small as ant and sometimes beyond the beyond. The world does not change, only my perspectives.

Perception is one of the 5 heaps...and when we practice deep wisdom we see through the perception...and see the kaleidoscopic effects of the perception that arises...sometimes antsy, sometimes the sky...it takes clear vision to see that.

I liked your words "when we practice deep wisdom we see through the preception." Thank you. Meditation is at the heart of practicing deep wisdom.

What are the 5 heaps!?

I just learned that the five heaps are the five factors that make up the personality:
corporeality
mental formations
feelings
perception
consciousness

The description I found adds, "none of these individually or collectively can be said to constitute a permanent self."

Anything to add?
