What relaxed easy teachings. I love the notion of unpin-downable . Suddenly my opinion looks like a snake, slithering through the dust, delicate, ingenuous, tracing a pattern with the movements of its body, gone.
Wonderful image. A snake with no ears or eyelids relting only on the felt experience of heat or the movement of the earth...they move so quickly and stay so close the ground.
An opinion as snake...snakes are creatures of prey...just like our opinions when we hold them too tightly; snakes are singled-out much like we feel when our opinion is misunderstood; snakes are venomous and not...the rattler gives a warning before striking, but strike he will if felt too threatened...we are all made of the same stuff...aren't we? Living in Georgia we had to come to live with the snakes...fast, long, poisonous, silent movers, as though appearing from nowhere, great swimmers...they get into the houses down there...they love the dark warm world of dryers...and the heat of the southern sun...I was ever on the lookout for them...
